With a strong social conscience combined with a solid background in accountancy and finance, he understands the need to pursue profit and purpose equally.
Marcus is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Away form work, Marcus likes art, debating, boats and boxing.
Social Impact Consultant | Founder of The Wild Ones | Chartered Accountant
Marcus Warry is the driving force behind The Wild Ones , a creative social enterprise based in Kampala, Uganda — part bar, part studio, and part cultural movement. The Wild Ones is a My Social Impact project.
The Wild Ones is more than a venue; it’s a live platform for emerging artists, musicians, designers and performers to collaborate, create, and share their work with the world. Marcus leads its development with a clear vision: to demonstrate how creativity, community and culture can contribute meaningfully to social and economic growth.
A Chartered Accountant (ACA), Economist and seasoned social impact consultant, Marcus has spent the last decade helping organisations in the UK and East Africa align purpose with profitability. His work focuses on helping businesses and charities measure, report, and scale their impact – with a mission to elevate social impact to the same strategic importance as profit.
He is also a trustee of Interim Spaces, a UK charity that transforms empty buildings into creative hubs for artists and entrepreneurs, amongst other things..
Marcus is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). His dyslexia fuels his creative problem-solving and ability to think laterally — a quality that echoes his admiration for Socratic questioning and his passion for challenging conventional thinking.
Outside of work, Marcus enjoys art, debating, boxing, building things and restoring old boats. His creative practice as a painter and his belief in experiential, people-powered innovation continue to inform his approach to building ventures that serve both purpose and community.
